OCTOBER 2025 – ISSUE #145

October greetings, TPPers!

We hope you’re all well settled back into school life by now. For many of you (teachers included), those sunny summer days are already a distant memory as autumn takes hold and the evenings draw in.

But not to worry – that’s the rhythm of the seasons. And anyway,  TPP is now back in full flow, with another jam-packed issue to keep you entertained  and enthralled.

Speaking of which, how did you sleep after Issue #144? Or more to the point, did it make you think differently about sleep – maybe even stop you from losing patience when your parents hurry you off to bed? We hope so, because sleep really is super!

This month we’ve returned to one of our favourite topics – money! Or rather, the history of money. Why? Because it’s fascinating … and, at times, downright wacky! You’ll see what we mean on pages 16 and 17.

Meanwhile, Laois topped the votes this month – well done to everyone who voted. That’s one county down, 31 to go!

If you haven’t already, make sure to cast your vote at https://www.theprimaryplanet.ie/Poll.aspx?poll_id=13 and give your county the nod.

Now remember, we love hearing from you. So send us  your comments, questions or suggestions any time to schools@theprimaryplanet.ie.

Until then, enjoy this issue and the upcoming midterm break. We’ll see you back here in November with a special Presidential edition!

Until next month,

Stephen
