We hope you had a great mid-term break – you certainly earned it after all your hard work.
What a time to return! Ireland has just written a brand-new chapter in its history with the election of Catherine Connolly as our tenth President – and the third woman ever to hold the office. In this special issue, we look back at Ireland’s past presidents and help you get to know our newly elected Uachtarán na hÉireann.
We’re also remembering Dr Jane Goodall – a remarkable woman whose lifelong work with chimpanzees changed how the world understands animals, nature and conservation.
And for those of you who have had your fill of politics and elections, don’t worry – there’s plenty more inside. From sports and science to movies and mysteries, we’ve packed this issue with something for everyone.
