JANUARY 2026 – ISSUE #148

Happy New Year, TPPers!

Well – how was it? As good as you thought? Better? Out of this world?

The good news is – only 11 and a half months to go until next Christmas!

OK, so you’ll have seen from the front cover that we're taking you through 2026 so that you can be up to speed on the major events that will shape the next 12 months. From the Winter Olympics to the World Cup, and from a Moon mission to a solar eclipse, 2026 promises  to be an epic year. Head  to pages 15-17 and discover why.

In sport, one of the most exciting mid-season events is underway – the transfer window.  Now open, some clubs are desperate to add to their squad.

Will Arsenal make a purchase? Or are you thinking ‘Why fix it when it’s not broken?’ And how much longer can Liverpool go without adding a world-class defender? Check out  Tony's predictions on  pages 30 & 31.

WWW News has some crackers this month. And if you enjoy our author interviews, we have a  treat in store for you in this month's issue where we meet and chat with the author of True Friends at Fernside, Sheena Wilkinson.

As always, if you’d like to get in touch, you can do so by emailing schools@ theprimaryplanet.ie.

Right! Enough from me, it’s over to you. Go enjoy the first issue of '26 and we’ll catch you back here in early February.
