Alphabet Sandwich

An American food blogger has made a sandwich using twenty-six fillings – each one beginning with a different letter of the alphabet. From avocado to zucchini, Nick Chipman (real name) packed all the ingredients between two simple slices of bread.

‘I know it sounds simple enough,’ explained Nick, ‘but do you realise how difficult it is to find a food that starts with the letter X?’ (FYI, Nick ended up using a type of coconut called Xylocarp.)

Nick had to make the alphabet sandwich in a hurry too, as it kept toppling over.

When it was finally finished, the alphabet sandwich stood at over 60cm tall, with photographs of the towering snack going viral within hours.

Not surprisingly, the enormous sandwich took Nick a whole day to eat. And with fillings like Doritos, Krisp Kreme Doughnut and many different types of meat, it's not what nutritionists would call a healthy meal!
