The southern sand octopus

The southern sand octopus, native to the Great Australian Bight and Tasmania, shoots jets of water into the seafloor. This turns the sand into a type of quicksand that softens, allowing the creature to burrow easily. Check one such octopus burrowing himself in sand in the video below.
